Aged 23 on marriage certificate in 1872. Mother possibly had surname Fidget.
10th Hussars were in India 1873-78 - source findmypast.co.uk. They left Portsmouth for Bombay on 10/1/1873 aboard the troopship "Jumna" and were stationed in Muttra (Bengal) until 1878. George Vine born 1848 is listed as have died in 1876 on the GRO Register of Marine Deaths. ![]()
