Information from Stephen Beattie: Arthur's parents were William Redgrave Lewin and Sarah Boreham. The family home was 5 Fambridge Road Maldon. One of Arthur's siblings was Edith May Lewin (my maternal grandmother). She married John McLean. They had one daughter, Joan Edith McLean, my mother.

Arthur married Vera Gertrude Beatrice Searle, daughter of James Henry Searle and Gertrude Julia Jennings, in Dec 1939 in Maldon Essex.⁹ (Vera Gertrude Beatrice Searle was born on 25 Mar 1912 in Heybridge Essex ⁴¹ and died in 1992 in Chelmsford Essex ⁴¹.)
