From Fran: John Hughes moved his family to South London at some point between 1851 and 1861. He became a carman from having been an agricultural labourer. Joseph Meredith became an iron founder. Here my grandfather Albert John Hughes was born. He moved to Manchester and married Dora Bannister. My mother, Dora Margaret Hughes was born in Manchester and died 2 years ago at the age of 99.
John married Elizabeth Ramplin in Mar 1840 in Flowton Suffolk.36 (Elizabeth Ramplin was born in 1819 in Hadleigh Suffolk 36.)
