Hans Hubertus Thomsen was born in Jutland, Denmark, in 1857, and emigrated to Australia around 1877 (as did all four of his brothers). He is on the electoral roll for Townsville, Queensland, in 1880, and Kennedy (between Cairns and Townsville) from 1905-15.
There are two possible Jane Greens - one was born in Queensland in 1856, parents Thomas Green and Sarah Palmer; the other was also born in 1856, but arrived in Queensland from London in 1870 aboard the "Storm King".
